No Skills Needed - DIY Wood Console Table WITHOUT Nails

Pinterest - console table 3 - craft room redesign on astral riles Today, I'll be sharing a quick & dirty DIY project where I built a wood console table using only glue. No tools & No nails needed! I needed a table for my home office but I was being lazy and didn't feel like doing a lot of work...Not to mention I DON'T own a nail gun! :( Also, I have been eyeballin' this beautiful table at West Elm, but it's way too expensive. This sucka costs over $500. SMH. It ain't neva gonna happen tho! I decided to just build my own quick version. I purchased a 10x2x12 piece of Douglas Fir dimensional lumber from The Home Depot and I had them cut it down into 3 pieces for me. (qty:2 40" pieces for the legs + qty:1 55" for the top). I literally didn't have to do ANYTHING! douglas fir douglas fir 3 Next, I simply GLUED the 3 pieces together using Loctite Power Grab, a multi-purpose clear construction glue that can be used on virtually any & everything. And it's STRONG as hell! While trying to glue the pieces together, I made sure to use a level so that the table was straight / even. Once the glue was on, I laid some heavy items on top of the table to apply pressure. Once the glue dried, all I had to do was stain the wood. douglas fir 2 douglas fir 4 feature - console table 2- craft room redesign on astral riles consle table - craft room redesign on astral riles console table 3 - craft room redesign on astral riles console table 4 - craft room redesign on astral riles plant close up - craft room redesign on astral riles **Even though the table is super sturdy and turned out pretty good...One thing that I would do different the next time is stain the wood FIRST before applying the glue. Since I applied the glue 1st, the stain would not adhere properly in certain places where the glue dried. But it's cool...it still looks good. :) If you haven't done so yet, please subscribe to my blog + share with your friends! :) [mc4wp_form] S/N: if you're in the mood to purchase some one-of-a kind handmade home decor...here is a link to my Etsy Shop:
